Delegation of CIIT from Pakistan Visit the Physics Department
A delegation of 6 professors from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) of Pakistan visited the Tsinghua University in the afternoon of Apr. 19th. Professor Javaid Anwar, the leader of the delegation, visited the physics department together with three other professors. The deputy director of the physics department, Professor Gui-Lu, Long, who is in charge of the research and international affairs hosted the visitors together with Academician Jia-Ming, Li and other professors from the physics department.
In the meeting, Professor Long briefly introduced the staff and research activities of the Physics department to the guests. Afterwards, Professor Javaid Anwar also introduced relevant information about CIIT including campus construction, staff and student recruitment. Last but by no means least, a detailed discussion ensued, covering research cooperation, academic communications, PhD student and post-doc exchanges, and an agreement was reached concerning the nature of future co-operations. The establishment of cooperation between CIIT and Physics department is not only mutually beneficial for both universities but also assists in the construction of the China-Pakistan economic corridor and also “The Belt and Road” strategy.
The Pakistan CIIT, which established in 1998, is a public funded integral research university with multiple campuses in Pakistan. The CIIT ranks the first among all universities in terms of integral ranking.
