Abstract: Quantum correlations, and in particular entanglement, are known to be a resource for quantum-enhanced parameter estimation. However, there are correlations stronger than entanglement, which reveal the non-local aspect of quantum mechanics. The question I want to address in my talk is: what metrological tasks could be enabled by these stronger forms of correlations?
After providing an example of such a task, I will discuss its possible implementation with spatially distributed atomic ensembles, such as split Bose-Einstein condensates.
