Abstract：We review how to establish the production representation for partial wave scattering amplitudes and discuss its application in different processes such as pipi, pi K and pi N elastic scatterings. We show this method is very effective in determining nearby sub threshold resonances, such as sigma, kappa, and newly established N*(890).
