Abstract:We investigate an idea, how to use the bremsstrahlung photons for study of quark structure of proton under nuclear reaction with nucleus [1]. We study scattering of protons off nuclei, where bremsstrahlung photons are emitted and are measured. According to our theory, one can extract new information about internal quark structure of the scattered proton analyzing experimental bremsstrahlung spectra.
In our theory, for proton-nucleus scattering Pauli equation is generalized for system of many nucleons [2] with inclusion of interacting potential (known from experimental study) and the electromagnetic form factors of nucleon from DIS theory. For the scattering of p +197 Au at proton beam energy of 190 MeV (where experimental bremsstrahlung data were obtained with high accuracy) we show that the full bremsstrahlung spectrum is sensitive to the form-factors of the scattered proton. This idea is used under a basis of construction of a new type of microscopy, which allows to overcome existed experimental limitations and study internal structure of matter at higher accuracy.
