Abstract: The EDGES Collaboration 21cm absorption anomaly is a possible signature of new physics beyond the Standard Model. We propose that axion or axion-like particle dark matter in a condensed phase during the cosmic drawn can explain this observation. Axions are generally existing in string theory and can form Bose-Einstein condensate in the early universe. The resulting condensate can produce interesting signals such as this and we hope that the cosmological signals can constrain the axion mass thus facilitate the axion detection endeavours.
