Abstract:Formation and evolution of galaxies is one of the most fundamental aspects of astrophysics. With the advent of integral field spectrographs (IFSs), 2D spectroscopic observations now allow us to study the evolution of galaxies via many physical parameters in great detail. In this talk, I will describe progresses in our understanding on the gas cycling of galaxies and its relationship with the structures and star-formation processes of galaxies and AGNs.
