报告题目:Landau-Zener-Stückelberg Interferometry and its applications to coherent manipulation of multipartite quantum states
报告摘要:Coherent control of multipartite quantum states is at the heart of implementing solid-state quantum processors and testing quantum mechanics at the macroscopic level. Coherent control of the quantum states of multipartite systems involving artificial solid-state qubits is critical to quantum information processing and it has been difficult to realize because of the relatively short decoherence time and the lack of efficient methods. In this talk I will show that the avoided crossings in a quantum system’s energy-level spectrum act as tunable quantum beam splitters of wave functions which can be utilized to perform the Landau–Zener–Stückelberg interferometry. I’ll demonstrate how to use LZS interferometry for the creation and coherent manipulation of quantum states of a tripartite quantum system consisting of a superconducting phase qubit coupled to microscopic two-level systems (TLSs). Our result shows that the LZS interferometry provides a very efficient method for the coherent control of multipartite quantum states.
