报告摘要:Among others, the most recent unification, namely the marriage between quantum mechanics and gravity, which was achieved in a fantastic way by string theory as AdS/CFT in last decade, has been exhibiting its remarkable power in understanding the dynamics of strongly coupled systems.In this talk,after a brief review of what string is and what string is for, I will focus on applying AdS/CFT to condensed matter physics, which is now dubbed as AdS/CMT. In particular, I will present our recent work on the holographic non-relativistic Fermi liquids, where a flat band is achieved.
